As readers know, I am a fan of the original
Fright Night, written and directed by Tom Holland, he of
Child's Play fame. Remaking a film so beloved by me and many other horror fans who cut their fangs on the golden age of creature features in the early-to-mid-80s is tricky, especially when it's - wait for it - ANOTHER VAMPIRE MOVIE. We've been inundated with sparkly vampires, brooding vampires, CGI zombie vampires... it's enough to put you off your O-positive.
